Today, AGI Atlanta participated in a bone marrow drive held in the office from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM today. The name of the charity supported was Be The Match.
Every employee in the AGI Atlanta office decided to join the registry, so we had a total of 22 people who participated! Brandie, AGI Atlanta’s former CEO shared, “I chose this charity because one of my sorority sisters has an 11 year old daughter with leukemia. I follow her on social media and also saw that she has a friend who is having a hard time finding a donor because he is bi- racial. Be the Match specifically needs 20-44 year olds, we were very fortunate every employee in our company wanted to participate.”
The AGI Atlanta team also made a $1000 donation to this organization since it is very costly to have someone tested. Be The Match spends $100 for every person tested. So, you can see how every single thing the community can do to help will make a huge difference.
